Background
Vilgax is feared as "the most dangerous being in the universe" and with 10 worlds under his belt its not hard to see why. One day he caught wind of a piece of equipment known as the Omnitrix; a watch capable of turning into different aliens. With this Vilgax would be able to create an unstoppable army and he would be able to seize control of the entire universe. Only problem was that through some deus ex machina bullshit a ten-year-old boy named Ben Tennyson acquired the Omnitrix first.From that moment on Ben and Vilgax would be archenemies in a continuous struggle for power.\
Powers and Abilities
During the first season Vilgax was able to invade people's minds. It wasn't possesion as he wasn't in control but it was enough to send a threatening message.
Vilgax has an army of droids at his disposal and each droid has enough firepower to destroy buildings.
Vilgax resists immense heat as shown with his encounter with Heatblast.
Vilgax has enhanced strength as he was able to easily pick Heatblast up and throw him down the street so hard that he crashed into a wall through several buildings until Heatblast landed on the other side of the city.
Vilgax was then able to jump the distance he had thrown Heatblast so that he landed in the general vicinity.
Too bad Heatblast melted the entire road down which caused him to fall down and get stuck by melted asphalt. Though Vilgax got back up moments later. During these few moments Ben was able to escape though.
Later in the episode Vilgax was able to catch Stinkfly but was propelled off by Stinkfly's slime.
He then got back up and made another attempt at Stinkfly but Stinkfly was able to dodge him this time causing him to fall back to the ground.
Vilgax then pursued Stinkfly again and from the buildings I can assume that he was able to jump at least 15 meters (5 stories) in a single bound.
Vilgax was finally able to catch Stinkfly and crashed into a building which somehow exploded.
After capturing Ben, Vilgax took Ben to his ship to remove the Omnitrix. He was in the process of removing Ben's arm when Max's R.V flew into him. Max then shot Vilgax with some kind of giant laser.
After falling from his ship Vilgax was able to jump up Mount Rushmore (which is 18 meters tall) in a single bound to catch Ben. After a failed attempt to hurt him using XLR8, Vilgax showed that he had impressive strength and hit XLR8 with enough force to destroy part of Mount Rushmore (completely annihilated one of the four fathers' heads). The below picture is what happened just before it crumbled.
Even with this XLR8 still remained unscathed and dodged Vilgax's attacks. When XLR8 tried to retaliate Vilgax caught him and sent him flying into a wall.
The Omnitrix then turned Ben into Diamondhead who attacked Vilgax by throwing diamonds at him but the diamonds shattered upon contact.
The same outcome was met when Diamondhead attempted to engage Vilgax in hand-to-hand combat.
Vilgax then grabbed Diamondhead and slammed him into the ground. He was about to finish the fight but Ben turned into Ghostfreak who was intangible and Vilgax's punch past straight through him. Ghostfreak used this opportunity to escape from Vilgax knowing that this was a fight that he wouldn't be able to win. However Vilgax didn't give up and decided to use Ben's family against him. When Ghostfreak turned into Wildmutt he was enraged but eventually gave up to save his cousin and his grandpa. When Max came to, he warned Vilgax not to go in his ship. Of course Vilgax didn't heed this warning and realized that the self-destruct sequence had been initiated. While he was distracted Ben took this opportunity to knock him out with one final laser blast from Max's gun. Ben took this opportunity to escape but fortunately for Vilgax he was able to survive his ship's explosion.
In Truth Vilgax was capable of infiltrating a milartary base, launch its nukes and disarm a plumber officer. His arrogance however got him stuck to a nuclear warhead and sent into his ship. However, Vilgax was able to survive the blast.
In Back with a Vengeance Vilgax was able to survive the vacuum of space (though he ended up frozen solid due to the temperature). Luckily Kevin 11 happened to be passing by and thawed him out using Heatblast's hand. Kevin and Vilgax then started a partnership of mutual benefit so that they could finally stop Ben. Well actually no Kevin had him re-frozen and started talking to him. Vilgax then took this opportunity to break out of his ice prison and deliver an uppercut to Kevin. Vilgax then picked up some giant container and threw it through the window which caused a vacuum.
Vilgax then through Kevin out the window and proceeded to give him the beatdown of his life.
Kevin was able to get a surprise attack in but it barely phased Vilgax. Kevin tried to use hand to hand combat and actually got a few good hits in but just one attack from Vilgax was enough to send him flying. Vilgax then realized that Kevin actually knew things about the Omnitrix and THIS is when they started their mutual benefit partnership.
When Vilgax actually did confront Ben, he easily grabbed him to remove the Omnitrix though was tricked by Ben turning into Grey Matter. Vilgax grabbed Grey Matter with both hands but Ben just turned into Diamondhead and he did so with enough force to actually send Vilgax flying. Fortunately Vilgax was able to embed his claws into sheets of metal.
Vilgax then dropped down to attack Stinkfly but Ben turned into XLR8 to escape. Vilgax then took a trip down Niagra Falls which is 51 meters tall.
Later in the Null Void Vilgax was able to gain control of the Null Guardians and even let Kevin ride one. Ben finally gave the Omnitrix up when Gwen's life was in danger. Kevin was able to remove the Omnitrix using Vilgax's machine but did the most stupid thing you could've done and betrayed Vilgax. Natuarlly Vilgax gave chase. Gwen managed to retrieve the Omnitrix but threw it away so Vilgax would chase the Omnitrix. Of course because Gwen's not that dumb she actually threw a plumber grenade so when Vilgax caught it he had to endure another explosion.
In Secret of the Omnitrix Vilgax had escaped the Null Void and pursued Ben. He did manage to find him but ended up pushed out of an airlock just outside of Xenon's atmsophere. Later in the episode Vilgax is found to have survived atmospheric re-entry on Xenon to retrieve the Omnitrix.
Vilgax returns in the Season 3 premiere of Alien Force: Vengeance of Vilgax. He was able to throw a Tetramand named Tiny into the wall of a building so hard that parts of the roof actually crumbled on top of her.
Ultimos then tried to sneak attack him but Vilgax just deflected all his attacks with an energy shield.
He delivered a beatdown on Ultimos before firing a red laser at him.
After Ultimos endured the Ruby Ray, Vilgax ended the battle by punching Ultimos into the ground that it created a shockwave and a giant crater in the ground.
Later in the episode Vilgax had to deal with the Plumber Kids. Cooper attacked first using his mech to fire missiles at him but Vilgax merely slashed through them.
Obviously Vilgax tried to kill Cooper but Helen save him from the Ruy Ray. Unfortunately it seems that Darkseid was one of the people who Vilgax defeated and took powers from as he fire Omega Beams which chased Helen until she was hit by them.
He wasable to overpower Manny by simply holding onto him before throwing Manny into a tree.
Alan then tried his luck by using a constant fire blast on him. Vilgax had to only breath to send him flying into the distance.
The last remaining member, Pierce, tried to attack him using quills but as you can guess it did nothing. Vilgax did give Pierce the priviledge of being defeated by a small earthquake though.
In Ghost Town Vilgax was moving so fast that he actually cut through a spaceship.
Vilgax engaged Ultimate Swampfire in combat and quickly gained the edge due to his True Form (I would create a section for this but he can only use it underwater and this is the only time he uses it). Unfortunately he forgot that his ship was basically a city busting nuke on a countdown and was forced to tank the explosion.
In The Beginning of the End Vilgax is returned to his former glory and has become a herald of Diagon. Being the herald of Diagon brings some new benefits such as:
- ability to summon lightning
- using the move Flash
- shooting laser beams from his eyes
- Creating shockwaves in the ground
- Energy Manipulation
In The Ultimate Enemy: Part 2 Vilgax was able to successfully betray Diagon and absorb his power. In doing so he not only looked like the Diagon, he became the Diagon.
In Vilgax Must Croak Vilgax was able to successfully manipulate Ben into letting him go. When that plan failed Vilgax jumped in front of a Techadon Dissipator to destroy his shackles. He used this opportunity to knock Ben out and escape.
In And Then There Were None Vilgax successfully destroyed the multiverse using a Chronosapien Time Bomb. While one can argue that Vilgax himself was left untouched by the bomb, it was likely due to him putting in specific co-ordinates to leave him in tact.
In Malgax Attacks Vilgax use the Malware armor to augment his physical abilities. This also allowed Vilgax to wield an arm cannon and laser blades which he used to destroy Diamondhead's arms and was then able to punch Diamondhead with enough force to send him to the planet's moon. Ben then turned into Atomix but Malgax was able to tank all of Atomix's attacks while also dishing out damage. Malgax then fought Whampire and was doing pretty well until Skurd joined the fray and Malgax was then on the receiving end of a curb-stomp battle which ended with him being pushed into the warp core.
Major Feats
- Was able to defeat and outlast all of Ben's aliens the first time he and Ben fought which also meant the defeat of Ben 10.
- Skin was so hard the diamonds shattered upon contact (and you just need to look at my Ben 10 blog to know how tough it is #shameless #self-promotion)
- Survived a major explosion.
- Survived a nuclear explosion.
- Survived yet ANOTHER explosion from a plumber grenade.
- Defeated Kevin 11
- Survived a fall down Niagra Falls.
- Survived atmospheric re-entry.
- Survived being thrown into space
- Defeated the Galactic Enforcers
- Through the Conqueror's Challenge (in which Vilgax had to fight the planet's strongest warrior one on one) Vilgax has conquered 10 planets.
- Effortlessly defeated the Plumber's Helper's
- Successfully 'kills' one of Ben's aliens
- Survived atmospheric re-entry
- Broke into a maximum security prison.
- Went fast enough to cut through a space ship (while this is not a speed feat as Vigax was accelerating through space, it is impressive that he didn't take any damage from this).
- Is ruler of his own planet: Vilgaxia
- Fought off an army of Ectonurites without being possessed.
- Manipulated Albedo into doing his bidding
- Successfully obtained the Omnitrix
- Tanked the Omnitrix blowing up on his arm.
- Survived an explosion that could easily destroy Bellwood though was incapacitated due to this.
- Betrayed Diagon
- Became Diagon
- In his own words "rid the multiverse of any Ben Tennyson who had even heard of the Omnitrix".
- Effortlessly defeated Diamondhead, Atomix and nearly Whampire.
Equipment
- Energy Blade
- Chronosapien Time Bomb (destroys temporal anomalies such as time travellers).
- Malware armor
Diagon Form
Though it shouldn't be used I'm going to include it anyway. In doing so he gained several abilities such as:
- Laser beams
- Long distance tracking (easily tracked Ben's Team when they were in a completely different state).
- Shapeshifting (was able to revert himself into his previous form).
- Enhanced Durability (easily plowed through a laser fired from an old plumber base)
- Enhanced Strength (easily lifted one of the faces off Mount Rushmore)
- Flight
However, Ben was able to absorb all that power using Ascalon and Vilgax remained defeated.
Weaknesses
Ben was able to absorb his power from him. Its not too a far cry to say Osmosions and any other opponent that can absorb power would be able to take it from him.
